We have purchased Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) equipment from the first CPT manufacturer in the Netherlands - Geomil. This technology will allow the determination of soil parameters for unconsolidated sediments where traditional geotechnical investigation techniques take too long or dont provide enough detailed information. We will be offering this service early 2018.

Earth Stake/ Earth Rod Drilling
-Using augering drilling method for unconsolidated/consolidated soils to depth of 12m.
-Down Hole Hammer (DHH) drilling method for in medium to high strength rock to depth of 28.5m.
-Supply of sodium bentonite/gypsum to improve earth resistance to SA Power Networks standard.
-DrillSmith is a registered sub-contractor with Visionstream Optus Wireless Projects for the installation of earth rods (Contract 2016/11/8786/OWP)

-Vertical and inclined holes in soil and rock using drill rig or SIG pneumatic rock drill

-Soil Resistivity can be determined by the Wenner 4 Pole Method
